W3i today announced the promotion of Hayden O. Creque to General Counsel, reporting to CEO Robert Weber.

He held several management positions with TDS TELECOM before attending law school. After law school he entered private practice with Lindquist & Vennum pllp as a litigator. Hayden now leads W3i’s privacy, risk minimization and best practice initiatives. He also counsels the company on contract, human resource, intellectual property and privacy law. In addition, he has a key role in determining W3i’s evolving strategy.

Hayden holds a J.D. cum laude from the University of Wisconsin and a Concentration in International Business Law. He also earned a B.S. in Business from Edgewood College.

St. Cloud interactive marketing company Freeze.com LLC changed its name this month to W3i.

The new name reflects the company’s move to promote its interactive services on the World Wide Web, Chief Executive Robert Weber said.

Each W also represents the three Weber brothers who started the company in 2000.

Freeze.com has grown to a $30 million company with 85 million subscribers and about 200 advertisers supporting its free ringtones, screensavers, clip art and computer wallpaper.

The company provides marketing programs, including display advertising, software marketing and product placement.

W3i is the parent company of Freeze.com, Screensaver.com, Wallpapers.com and Ringtone.com.
